INSIGHT: We discovered that over 50 million Americans faced hunger during the pandemic, impacting pets in these homes and increasing their food insecurity.
SOLUTION: To address this, we proposed a retailer initiative allowing pet owners to donate a meal with each purchase. This initiative became a Walmart Marketing priority in 2021 and ran for three consecutive years.
RESULTS:
• 20.1% sales lift (2023).
• 57M+ impressions (2023).
• $12.3M in sales from August 1 to September 30, 2023.
